Sharing Our Adventures...

My husband is an adventurous man all his life... he's a diver, a mountaineer, a rock climber, a beach enthusiast, a camper, airsoft player, bungee jumper, etc! Name it... he either done it or willing to do it...

I love to travel but haven't tried as much adventure... most of which, my husband just had me try.

Last March 12, I tried trekking the first time... I almost didnt make it but because of my husband's support (together with the rest of the locals), I made it to Pinatubo's peak!!!

This experience inspired me to share our adventures from here on... I hope people may also find this spot inspiring to try out alot of things, explore nature more and share their experience with others......

Enjoy reading and looking at the pictures!

We Conquered Mt. Pinatubo

We were asked by Antonio a week before the scheduled trek if we are interested to join them- as "kaladkarin" as we were... we hurriedly said yes!

March 12, 2011

We woke up 3am to fix our things for the trek.... I was soooo excited as it is my first time. With my new mountaineering outfit and stuff… I was ready as ever. We met up with Antonio, Marian, Grace and Kirsch at Shell NLEX for breakfast. We have to pick-up Allan at Angeles exit before heading to Capas. Then the adventure begins…

Here's luvs getting our things ready

As a responsible partner... he gave me his own mini orientation before we start

Now, we are ready!

It started off with a bumpy 2 hrs 4x4 ride (Well, not as bumpy as how we expected it to be). There were around 78 4x4 jeeps that day. There’s a UP Tourism class who was in the tour with us. Our jeep was the first to breakdown then along came 5 more… all in all, the 4x4 ride was an adventure on its own.

Our first breakdown.... then came 5 more....

Then the trek begins…

we still haven’t started and yet, what we see is truly breathtaking!

The walk itself is fun… going up and down the road with different sizes of rocks as your obstacle course

Threading through the flowing streams, carefully calculating every step you take on each rocks aligned to work as your guide in crossing it.

gasping for air when you thought you cant make it anymore.....

(well, i almost fainted and felt i cant go any step further but thanks to my husband's all out support... i made it!)

taking those grueling steps, up and down the steep staircase (178+50 steps)

Kah! Kah! Kah!

Rest muna....

With every sweat and pain you feel is worth it when you finally reach Mt. Pinatubo

Taking a dip in the cold Pinatubo Crater Lake will soothe you from the entire walk, sweat and heat your body felt.

Having that sumptuous “gourmet” lunch prepared out of love… Syempre asawa ko yun eh… and I know he went through the cooking process… just for me

Just relaxing and sharing lunch with friends....

practically talking about anything you can think of

Never fails to make me feel like a princess--- Even went out of his way to brew me coffee at the Pinatubo crater With matching creamer and sugar! I’m super doooooper spoiled!

By the time we were supposed to go back, Havin been relaxed and all- We were good as new On our back is easier, We kept our pace… All in all, the experience is superb!

Yes, including our treat- Jellyace!

Really enjoyed my first trekking experience!!!

Thank you love for making me try out new things

and making me realize that

I could conquer anything when you are there with me, holding my hand!
